Q: If I triple boot windows xp,7 and linux, and undervolt windows xp to take notes in college only using ms office to save battery life, will undervolting affect windows 7 and ubuntu?or just xp.
Its all partitions in one hard disk.
If it affects all of them is there a way to undervolt only the windows xp partition?
Thanks

Your laptop already dynamically adjusts the speed of the processor to whatever is needed in order to conserve battery life.

You’re going to find better power management in Windows 7, so I’d suggest not even bothering with tossing XP on there because it isn’t going to be any more energy efficient.
