How come upgrading to the latest iTunes killed my audio and video configurations?

by on August 24, 2011

Q: Upon updating to the latest version of iTunes the other day, it more or less killed my audio/video configuration to the point where there is no playback on any software anywhere on my laptop. I have the latest drivers for all the audio/video, have uninstalled iTunes/QuickTime: to no available. Should I uninstall all the drivers and re load them? Or pull out the battery and let the system come down? What options do I have?

I would go to the manufacturer site and download the latest drivers. Chances are something happened to them. You can also try rolling back the drivers in device manager and see if your sound is operational then.

If you are still having problems let me know.
