Is there anyway to open a file that was placed on a floppy disk using Windows 98 and DriveSpace 3?
by fishingbear on September 26, 2011Q: I have some old files on a floppy disk that I would like to try to open. They were downloaded onto the disk in a compressed file using windows98 and drive space three, whatever that means. I currently have windows xp as my operating system. Is there any way to open these files?
Windows XP does not support DriveSpace. You’ll have to find a PC running Windows 95 or 98 or ME and decompress those files.
