Does the main computer running QuickBooks need to be on for another networked computer to connect and use QuickBooks?

Q: Does the computer server need to be on in order to access Quickbooks on another networked computer with Quickbooks?

    If you need to access QuickBooks records stored on the server, then the server will need to be available.

    If you are using Quickbooks on a client computer and the dataset is completely personal or private than a server connection probably won’t be required.
