Why does the MSXML4.0 SP2 KB954430 take up most of my hard drive space?

Q: Why does the MSXML4.0 SP2 KB954430 take up 35KB of the 37KB used space on my C drive. Seems like a lot of space for one file.

35 KB is not very much disk space. If you are only down to that much free disk space you want want to see what else is taking up space on your Hard drive.

A tool you can use is called TreeSize and it is free. http://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/
But you may have problems installing if you only have a few KB of free space left.

If you double click on my computer and then right click on your C: drive in the new window and ten select properties you can see how much free space is left on your drive.

You may also want to consider running a disk cleanup. CLick start menu>Programs>Accessories>System Tools> disk cleanup.
Select your drive that is low on space.
Then check boxes next to that items that are taking up a lot of space. (Temporary Files, Compress files)
If you choose to compress files it may take several hours to complete.

I hope that will help you out some if you need more help please let me know.

I made a mistake in the amount of space ..it should read 35GB of 37GB used not KB as I used in first question. I only have 40GB on this comp and this file takes up almost all of it. Wayne
