How come my PS3 can connect to WiFi sometimes and sometimes it cannot?

Q: i have a ps3. the camp ground has wifi. some times it connects an some times it dont. what do i need to do to keep connected

    You are probably getting a poor signal.

    Personally, I would try a wireless client bridge like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833168065

    Figure out where the Campground’s Wifi antenna is, and place the client bridge as close as possible without being outside and with as few objects as possible obstructing your view. Optionally, you can replace the antennas with directional ones.

    Setup the client bridge as per instructions, and connect your PS3 to the bridge via Ethernet cable.

    If you haven’t done much network equipment setup before, consider tracking someone down to give you a hand.

    For a zero dollar solution, get your PS3 closer to the campground’s wireless antenna if at all possible.

    Also, there is a chance that the wifi, since it is shared by a large number of people, is being bogged down by heavy use. If that is the case, no antennas or otherwise are going to help.
