Will I be able to runn Battlefield 3 at the highest settings possible with my system?

by on December 12, 2011

Q: Im building a gaming tower, and plan on running sli/crossfire video cards.
Heres the tower:
Chip: Core i5 2500k 3.3g 6m
MOBO: nc-gi-z68ma-d2h-b3
RAM: hyper x ddr3 4 gig ram(2)
CASE: antec 200 tower
PWR: Coolermaster power 1000w

sli vs crossfire vs single card arguments aside, what pair of video cards would you recommend, if your budget was $300 max for the cards?

I want to play BF3 on the highest settings possible, with the info Ive given above.

I don’t see many websites mentioning the motherboard model number you mentioned, except for this one: http://www.modcomonline.com/modcom/product_info.php?pid=24494

Which seems to point to this board as the one you’re talking about: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128495

Your best option is probably an nVidia GeForce GTX 570. After rebate some of them are coming in at $300.

Tom’s Hardware has a great write up on performance with different cards on Battlefield 3. I suggest you read the whole thing before you make your purchase: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/battlefield-3-graphics-performance,3063.html
