How come I get a message saying I need Vista SP1 to install Office 2010?

You probably don’t have Service Pack 1 installed on your computer.
Click Start > Control Panel> Security
Under “Windows Updates, click on ‘Check for Updates’ .
Download and install all Important Updates. Also, make sure that automatic updates is turned on.
Note that if you’re using a pirated copy of Windows Vista, windows update may not work correctly. You’ll need to purchase a legitimate license for Windows.
