How do I setup my Mac to connect to my new D-Link router?

by on December 30, 2011

Q: Okay i have a MAC desktop and I just bought a toshiba satellite pro laptop. Then I bought a D-Link router (N300 wireless internet) to run it you need wizard though… and MAC’s dont have wizard.. when i put the disk (d-link) into the MAC it popped up as “ADOBE something” and wouldn’t run the disk.

soo.. do i need a different router? Like an airport base that works with the mac? and if i do can i connect to the airport base with my toshiba?

  1.

If you purchased a desktop mac, it probably doesn’t have a built in wireless card. Assuming it is located somewhere near your D-Link router, just plug in an Ethernet cable.
