Q: How do I pass an Internet connection from my laptop through my wireless router? Internet connection is tethered to laptop and can not go directly into wireless router.

  1.

You would need to turn on Internet sharing on the main computer that is going to tether.

Then from there connect that computer to your routers WAN connection if you are using a wired setup. Then you can just connect the rest of your computers.

If you want to use a wireless setup for your main computer then you will need to go in set the gateway on all the computers to use the IP of your main computer so make sure you use a static IP for your main computer or else you are going to need to change settings on your other computers often.

I think the best solution, depending on what kind of wireless device you have, is to find a router/hub that supports your wireless device. They make routers that support the usb wireless device along with ones that accept the cards as well. This is a much simpler solution but it will cost you a little bit of money but it will save you a lot of troubles.
