How come Windows is saying that the copy of Windows on my computer is not genuine?

Q: i bought my computer from a rent to own place. but i did pay for it. so when windows ask me to verify my copy of it. i clicked yes. thinking it was good. but, windows has not left a message on my desktop that my copy of it is not genuine. how do i remove it?

    You may have to try to register your copy of Windows again. When prompted select to authenticate by phone and follow the prompts.

    You may still have problems with this if the rental place you purchased this from used an illegal copy of windows. Your PC should have a sticker on it with license key for Windows 7.
