How do I get my older Motorola bluetooth headset into discovery mode?

Q: I have an older motorola bluetooth headset. Numbers on back N136 and HS350 The problem is i cant get it to pair with my Motorola cell phone. I dont know how to get it in Discovery mode. HELP PLEASE

    With the earpiece closed, press and hold the main button until the blue light comes on solid. Then flip the mic boom and ear piece all the way forward. The device is now in pairing mode. On your phone, search for device. The passcode is 0000.
