How do I point to/connect to all my old Outlook folders and contacts?

by on April 18, 2012

Q: Have a new pc running Windows 7. Installed MS Office 2003 (by choice) from CD and can create new or modify existing doc, xls, pps, etc., files. My hard drive from old pc is accessible via an external enclosure.

Question: How do I point to/connect to all my old Outlook folders, contacts, etc.?

Thanks!

If the old version of Outlook on your old computer was 2003 or above, it uses what is called a “.PST” File. This file contains all of your mail, contact, and calendar items. The easiest way to find this folder is to do a search on your old computer for “*.pst” (no quotes). It should be buried in your old profile on your old computer. If you still have trouble find it all please let me know.
