Q: I have an emachines ET1810-03 desktop computer, can I use a splitter so I can have my monitor and my flat screen TV hooked up?. There’s only one VGA port.

if you are just looking to duplicate your screen a splitter should work. If you are looking to have your TV as a secondary screen then you will need something more like a new video card or a USB video adapter.

Thanks. My eyes aren’t what they used to be, and the monitor is fine when I’m sitting right at my desk, but when I want to relax and watch video or TV, I don’t necessarily want to have to sit at my desk to view it. I just got Netflix and Hulu plus, so it’s hard to view from that far back. I don’t need to be on Facebook and trying to watch TV episodes at the same time, so this sounds like a good solution for me. Once again thank you!
