“so that i can acess user accounts on any computer in my house”

This can mean different things to different people, and depending on what things are really important to you, will dictate how hard it is to set things up.

In general, when talking about a home network, the most important thing to people is usually to be able to have a central shared folder of some kind where music/videos/photos are kept, so that you can access them from any computer.

If you can tell me the operating systems running on each computer, and provide a very details and descriptive list of exactly each thing you want to be able to do. I can probably offer some suggestions.

    Hi Nithanial,
Assuming that you are running a windows environment I would suggest Windows Home Server 2011. This will allow you to store documents, images, videos in one centralized location on your network. It also helps to setup permissions to the files that are stored on the server and integrates nicely with other windows computers in your network as well as other multimedia devices. You can find out more information about it here. http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows/products/windows-home-server. Let me know if you have any other questions regarding this.
