How do I move files from my master hard drive to my slave hard drive?

Q: how to move files from a master hard drive to a slave hard drive, and will this free space in the master drive improve my performance. This is on a HP Pavilion 523n with a 80GB master and an added 160 GB Seagate as a slave.

If you are moving files you would simply right click the file and select cut and in a folder on your new drive right click and select paste.

If you are moving files make sure you do not move any system or program files as they will not work. You can uninstall a program and reinstall it to your new drive.

Yes moving files will free up space on your old drive. I would also suggest a disk cleanup and a defrag both located in the Start Menu>All Programs>Accessories> System tools. This will help make your free space more usable and clean up temp files as well.
