Do I need a new laptop if my laptop buffers a lot when I watch TV on the Internet?

Q: i have a toshiba thats about 3 yrs. old. im running vista. i use the internet for watching tv and movies and downloading and shopping…its fine for the last two but not so great for tv and movies, lots of stalls and pixalating…is it time for a new comp?

    You can always try to upgrade the memory in the laptop and see if that helps. Another option would also be to upgrade to windows 7. If you are not looking to upgrade your current laptop then getting a new one would be the way to go.

    Most laptops have good enough video cards to be able to view movies and TV. You may also want to try a system cleanup. You can go into Programs>Accessories>System Tools and run disk cleanup and defrag.
