How come my computer turns off while I am installing Windows 8?

by on December 30, 2012

Q: I recently assembled a new computer, and today, tried to install Windows 8. It went through all of the steps, and then installed devices. Finally, the screen went to this: . While on that screen, my computer completely turned off. I tried again, and saw that the previous hard drive partition made during the first install attempt was still there. I tried to make a new partition, and went through the installation process again, but got the same ending.

Any help?
