Is it possible to insert an email into my gmail inbox with a date of a year ago?

Q: Is it possible to have a message inserted into my gmail inbox, with a received date of say, a year ago? Is there any known way of doing this? Not for anything illegal! Just asking if this is possible. Also, is it possible to find out when a gmail account was first created?

    You *might* be able to tweak the received date for how the e-mail is displayed, but the headers would still show the accurate times the e-mail was received by each server in the chain.
