How can I install Windows Vista if my CD/DVD drive is not working?
by jws on January 30, 2013Q: my laptop would not communicate with my router but the router was connecting to other devices.
The problem was with vista. After removing vista I found that the DVD-CD device was not working. How do I reinstall Vista without a CD?

If you have a USB thumb drive you can install from that or if you have an external CD drive you can try using that as well.
To use a thumb drive you will need access to another computer. If you follow the instructions on the linked page you should be able to load from a thumb drive.
