Hi Sisoalbert,
Unfortunately there is no way to boost signal with an External USB wireless NIC. These have certain specs that are not usually able to be tweaked unless you’re an electronics and soldering expert! How far away is the access point that you’re trying to access? What USB Wireless NIC Card are you currently using? Any of these can be helpful in trying to help you get better reception.

Hey Siso – I was just re-reading your question and it occurred to me that you may be trying to use a wireless broadband service through Verizon/att/t-mobile? If this is the case can you tell me which service provider you are using and which USB Modem you are using to connect to mobile broadband?
Thanks,
Fletcha

Depending on your location and service you can always buy an amplifier for your home. Pricing varies. A company that makes amplifiers for your wireless service is Wilson Amplifiers. If you browse their site you may be able to find what you need there or if you let me know what your service is I can point you to a device that would work.

Siso – A fixed line into your house via cable modem or DSL will definitely work better for you if you don’t have great reception. You may want to check with Vodacom to see if they offer any other mobile broadband cards that may have a more powerful antenna.
