Is it possible for someones email to get hacked and have email sent to another one of their email addresses?

by on March 30, 2013

Q: I found some erotic and intimate pictures of my partners ex-wife on his email account. It was in his sent folder and forwarded to another email address of his. There was no to or from except his own. He says he was hacked and yet his wife says he himself lifted the pics of her computer. Is it at all possible that he was hacked?

    Hi Serenity,
Anything is possible on the internet. Having said this I would suggest to follow your gut feelings on these types of things as it is usually correct in most cases. There are ways to track down who logged into the account, at what time, and from what IP Address but it would require quite a bit of investigative work on your email administrators if you can even get ahold of them. Hope this helps.
