Is it okay to use my graphics card and the motherboard graphics card to run dual monitors?

by on April 9, 2013

Q: I am not a very computer techy person but i managed to get two monitors running by using my graphics card VGA port and the motherboard VGA port by enabling it in the BIOS. I have looked everywhere about it and lots of people are saying no to it.
I just want to know, Can it harm or effect my computer by doing this?

Thanks

Smartypants – This configuration will not harm your computer, This is a very common configuration. Some people will run 2,3,4-6 monitors on their computer using multiple graphics cards and the built in VGA port on the computer. Unless this is specific to your computer or is causing your computer to act strangely you should not be concerned. If you’d like to give me the brand/model of your computer I can confirm, or if you’d like to give me a link to where you read that it was a concern I can give you my opinion on this.
