    Dyner,

I guess this answers my last response. When you connect your external monitor into the laptop using the VGA or DVI or HDMI connector depending on how old your computer is. Does your computer recognize that a device has been plugged in? If you open up device manager and look under Monitors does it show your new plug and play monitor?
Some monitors will have multiple input options, Make sure that you have your monitor set to the correct input. Ex. VGA, Analog, DVI, Digital, HDMI, etc….

I should point out that I am trying to use a analog switch to one moniter and switch between desktop PC and laptop in vase I keep having problems with my desktop PC.
