Q: I use a Canon VIXIA HF 100 camera. I upload the .mts files to Adobe Premiere Elements 7. I edit and then burn to a standard DVD disc. The quality of the video is not good. It is blury. It is not a camera problem. When I input the video directly from the camera to a HDTV, the quality is excellent.
I have tried all the recording formats on the camera to no avail. I provide the recorded DVD to our church library for members to borrow and play on their DVD players. Either I don’t have the right combination of settings between the camera and the software or it is not possible to achieve good results using DVD.
If I used a bluray burner and the appropriate media can I expect better results? And then is it possible to copy a bluray disc onto a standard DVD without losing too much quality. Or am I up a creek?
