How come my DVD burner is making marks on my DVDs when I burn a disc?

by on April 18, 2010

Q: My CD/DVD drive is making some strange marks on my CD/DVD discs when writing. It look like line going from the center, a centimeter long, a millimeter thick. It is not a scratch rather as if it hasn’t been written on this small part. The discs work fine even pass verifying check, but still I burn a lot of discs, with important data. I wouldn’t want one day to wake up and see them all erased if you now what I mean . Has anyone the slightest idea what is going on? Should I continue to burn discs or replace my drive? It is only a year old.

How come I cannot play CDs I have burned in CD players?

by on February 18, 2010

Q: I have an your old computer that I use to burn music CDs for my pastor that he made. My problem comes when trying to play those CDs on a CD player or other devices outside of my computer.

How can I correct that problem? I’m not pirating CDs or anything but merely burning CDs of the pastors music.
