Q: Ok so it’s a simple question really but I installed some software on a external drive. The drive crashed :/. now the program still shows in programs and features but it wont let me uninstall it. so I can’t reinstall it on another drive! so how do I get rid of it lol??
Q: I moved 14,000 music files; 42GB from c drive to an external hard drive, because the files were using up too much hard drive on the lap top.
I am changing the file path by clicking the file on the hard drive and letting it play for a minute in the scaled back media player. Then I open media player on the desktop and the music is there.
As you can see I have a lot of files to transfer. Is there a better and faster way I can do this? i.e. Does Media player allow or have a way to change the file path to where it finds the music file, or is this the only way. Thanks, Nancy (sick of carving granite) 🙂

Q: I have an External Hard Drive. I have no idea the brand or model. There is nothing written on the actual drive. I have lost the AC adapter. Or the thing that plugs it into the wall.
I know it is easy to get another one, except the cord that is needed is not a normal cord. The place where it plugs into the back of the hard drive doesnt look like a normal AC plug. It looks more like an S-Video plug.
What is the name of the cord that I need?

Q: Hi all
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. I am trying to get the data from my sister’s HD onto my computer using a Rosewill SATA to USB cable. The HD is a Seagate Barracuda 7200.11.
When I connect the usb cable I get the connecting sound and a window saying that the USB device is ready to use, but the drive doesn’t show up in windows explorer. I have tried to reconnect a few times and have restarted the computer with the usb cable connected.
The disk shows up as unknown “Disk 1” under the disk management tool and gives an option to initialize the disk, but I’m guessing this will erase or at least hide the data on it.
Does anyone have any advice on how to get this setup working??
