Is it possible for MKV files to store regional specific data and play different music because of your region?

Q: I have a series of Anime called dragonball Z that I downloaded. It is the remastered version of the anime and they are in the format of .MKV.

First I downloaded an MKV player but then decided to watch them in media player as they also worked with it. I reformatted today and decided to download a differnt MKV player and when I played a dragonball Z episode I noticed that the soundtrack had changed, so I opened it in media player and the soundtrack changed yet again. I noticed that in the new MKV player the soundtrack had concerted to the American one but all the voiced where the same. On media Player it played the Japanese soundtrack but still had the normal voices.

I am really freaked out about this. My only guess is that some how the file differs in region codecs in a different media player, but then agian I already downloaded the files and there shouldn’t be a difference just because I use a differnt player. Please does any on know is going on?
