How can I connect my TV and computer to a single ethernet port?

by on May 20, 2013

Q: I have one Ethernet port in my room which is directly connected to a modem (about 50m away, so no access to WiFi) which I plug in my PC via its Ethernet port to get internet access. I want to connect my TV (Its an LG 47′ LM6200 3D TV) to my computer now so that I can have access to my PLEX Media server on the TV. I have a USB to Ethernet bridge which I want to configure to relay the network from my PC to the TV. How do I set this up so that the PC will send out a network over the converter? I know the converter works as an ethernet port for the computer, as I can connect over it to the internet (i.e. it can receive signals) but how to I get it to send signals out (i.e create a network for the TV to recognize)? Can it be done?

Is it possible to combines multiple DWL-6600 access points to achieve just a single WLAN?

by on December 2, 2012

Q: I’m working on a big project.
We want to create a wireless network throughout the building with 15 floors.
my idea is that we should set up one unified wireless access point at least in each floor…in case of signal
attenuate, we use Acess point extender/repeater.
i selected DWL-6600AP from among d-link industrial access points.
i wanna implement single wireless LAN throughout the building.

is it possible to combines multiple DWL-6600 access points to acheive just a single WLAN?
can a wireless switch controller do this task?
can these Acess Points interfer with each other? what is the solution?

i read d-link website’s learning materials…but still i am confused.

the another my question is around the connecting these APs to Wireless Switch Controller..
is it possible to use power line for connecting DWL-6600 to Wireless Switch Controller device?

How come my VPN connection shows up as an unidentified network?

by on April 18, 2012

Q: I use windows 7 home premium edition. I connect to the spotflux network, which is basically a vpn. The network comes through as unknown when i look in the network sharing center. If I use the command “route add 0.0.0.0 mask 0.0.0.0 x.x.x.x metric x if xx. It lets me identify the network. Problem is if I reset the connection, the default gateway changes and I have to use the command over again with the new gateway. This is verry annoying, yes I know I am being picky, there is nothing wrong with the internet connection or viewing webpages. It is just my OCD that doesn’t want me seeing the unidentified network. Is there any way to fix this┬ápermanently?
