How do I fix Operating System Not Found error?

by grubbk20 on March 30, 2010

Q: I have a micron millennia XKU and I can’t get passed the startup screen, the one where it asks for F2 for setup. I went though through the setup and nothing happens so I thought I was doing something wrong so I changed the settings to default. Now when it restarts it goes back to that screen. It finally acts like its going to start only for it to tell me OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND.

I don’t know what operating system it needs or how to even get a disk for one. How do I fix this?

Q: What is essential to run an Operating system? Is it only a hard drive to store the operating system and a processor to run it?

Changing from 64-bit version of Vista to 32-bit

by Pamela on May 26, 2009

Q: How can I change my HP laptop from 64-bit version of Windows Vista to 32-bit?

A: This would require a complete reinstall of Windows Vista. I would guess that you are running the version of Vista that shipped with your computer, which usually means that you don’t have a Windows license for the 32 bit version of Vista. You’ll need to contact HP to see if they can work something out for you.
