Sony Vaio Downgrade From Windows Vista To Windows XP

Q: I am having a problem with my Sony Vaio VGN-N350N notebook that is currently running Windows Vista Business Edition and I have decided the best solution is to downgrade to Windows XP if it is even possible. I don’t know if my notebook will support Windows XP though. It would be very helpful if you could tell me if my computer would support Windows XP and where I could download some drivers that will be compatible with my model.

A: Here is a list of drivers I put together based on Sony’s Vista driver listing for your laptop. Use these at your own risk. Backup all important data and keep your Vista restore disks handy if this totally fails.

Ethernet Driver Yukon 88E8036
Realtek Audio Driver (Sorry, no model listed on the Sony website, you might need to experiment.)
Intel 945GM Video Driver
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG

This should take care of your most important drivers and Windows XP should be able to auto detect a lot of other things. Beyond that, some googling and the Sony page I linked to should put you in business.
