Q: I have a HP Pavilion Slimline s3400f Desktop PC with Windows XP. I got it used from a goodwill electronics store it has been working great but I have no sound I have tried all the trouble shooting every time I try to play music I get this “Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.” And when I check it says that every thing is working as it should and there are no problems. I would love to have sound so my daughter can play her games and we can listen to music what do I need to do and how much will it cost?

Q: My Javascript and Flashplayer are installed and enabled but still not be recognized on websites. How can I fix this problem. I’m using Windows XP, IE8, OS3

i have; win xp service pac 3
1 gig of memory
500 gig hard drive

Q: Installing W7 on a work computer, it used to have XP on it. When I try to use the ghost image I get an error message “Computer not prepared for Windows 7″ or something, it’s weird because we have hundreds of other computers here with the exact same specifications. Tried to reset the BIOS and still nothing.

Q: had to re-install xp on a relativity new computer, but after i did, i realized no sound drivers display, 3d, network settings etc. how and where to i find the specific drivers and nvidia that was on my computer, the repair option wouldn’t work so , i formatted and install new no network capability because of missing drivers help, I’ll be stuck forever any advice? remember i have no network capability yet/ where is the info on the specific drivers i use to have or need,

Q: i have a zr30w monitor on a dc7800 sff box. Windows XP.
4292 Mb ram. i have downloaded the software from the hp site installed and restarted. the dvi card is also installed

the max resolution showing is 1280 x 800

not only does it run like a dog but the resolution needs to be set much higher. any suggestions?

Q: My refurbished desktop computer, which has Windows XP pro installed on it and have boot up disk but my power went out and now comp. wont boot up. even f10 way. set up way.. nothing. the disk seems to work b4 but now doesn’t. it says in setup screen that setup did not find any hard disk drive installed n comp.. t has been working fine for past year. maybe disk is screwed?? don’t know?? but how or what can i do to reinstall hard disk drive?? i have no other disks that came with comp
