From Camcorder To Video iPod

by on March 14, 2006

Q: How do I get a video from my camcorder onto my iPod Video?

A: The first step in this process is getting the video from your camcorder onto your computer system. This is usually done by a FireWire cable or by a USB 2.0 cable using software that comes with your camcorder.

The next step is to download a piece of software like Videora iPod Converter which will allow you to convert just about any video format into a format that can be played on your iPod video.

Once you have installed the software you will need to first click setup, then point the “Output videos to” setting to some other location that’s easier to find, like your desktop. Next you will want to click on the “Convert” tab, select “One-Click Transcode”. Then you will want to select the file you want to convert. The last step is to take the file you just created and drag and drop it into your iTunes software and sync your iTunes with your iPod.
