Genuine Issue When Installing Updates For Microsoft Office

by on October 15, 2007

Q: I am unable to install KB suggested 2007 updates and I am being told it is a genuine issue. The same Office is installed on another PC and running perfectly okay any ideas?

A: Unfortunately, most versions of Microsoft Office are only permitted to be installed on one computer at a time. You can contact Microsoft at the telephone number suggested for your country in the Microsoft Office Activation Wizard to verify how many computers are allowed for your copy of Office. It may also be possible to purchase additional licenses for the program from Microsoft. Of course, you can always go to a retail store and purchase a copy of Office for each of your computers. If you are looking for a free alternative to Microsoft Office, try a set of programs called OpenOffice. OpenOffice programs are capable of working with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word files.
