Are there any good options for non cell phone PDAs?
by achibaby1974 on January 3, 2009Q: I was wondering if you could recommend a PDA that does NOT have a phone or camera.
It must fulfill the following requirements
Windows CE: Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 or Microsoft Pocket PC 2000 (ARM/X-SCALE only) 2002, 2003, 2003 SE; Palm OS 3.5 or higher. If there’s not a PDA you can recommend, could you explain what these different requirements mean? I know there are companies like Palm and HP. Can Palm work with both Palm and HP or just a Palm?

You might want to consider the iPod Touch, which is basically and iPhone with the same PDA-like functionality, but without the phone, camera, etc. You can learn about the iPod Touch at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPod_Touch
Many geeks feel that the Palm OS is dead, because even Palm has started selling Windows Mobile devices! So this basically means you can purchase a PDA which runs Microsoft Windows Mobile, BlackBerry OS, or iPhone OS (includes iPod Touch).
PS: There is a big technology conference happening this week, where new Apple products are often announced. So if you decide to purchase an iPod Touch, I recommend that you wait until the conference is finished (January 10, 2009)
Does this help?
