How do I get the Windows start button and task bar to go back to their default colors?
by grace on March 13, 2009Q: I have Windows XP and the original color is gone on my window bar at the bottom. It is gray and the start button is gray not green like it was. I’ve tried to change it back to the original green and the task bar back to blue at the bottom and I can’t get it to do it. I don’t like the gray and on the top of the page . I know it’s silly but I like the original way it was.

Try the following:
Click on Start -> Control panel -> Display
Click on the ‘Themes Tab’, and then select ‘Windows XP’ as your theme and click OK. This should change it back for you.
