How come my toolbar in IE7 is hidden?

Q: I am using Windows XP IE7. I use Bitdefender and it ran updates last night. Now my IE7 toolbar is hidden. I tried ALT and it didn’t work. Neither did F11. I can’t use the TOOL button which is suggested at times, because it is on the toolbar that I cannot see. I don’t have the gold star nor anything else showing.

    press ALT+T, and that should make the missing TOOL menu button show up, you can then click on the menu options needed.
