Q: What is the clock generator or PLL of my HP Pavillion dv6205us? I’m trying to use clock gen to overclock my CPU. I know that its risky but that does not worry me so much. Can you please tell me how to do it?

I have never used ClockGen before and I cannot really find any information on what it actually does. It seems like you just want to overclock your CPU. Is it something that tells you how much you can overclock it by?

No, clockgen is to overlcock the cpu if the bios are locked now what i need is the clock gen or the pll.

So ClockGen will allow you to unlock, for lack of a better term, the BIOS so that you can overclock your CPU. This makes sense because all the overclocking would be done in the BIOS on new systems. So if you already know you need ClockGen then I am not really sure what your question is.

No, clockgen lets you overlcock the cpu ignoring the bios whether it allows you to or not it is a program that lets you set the PLL or clock generator then manipulate meters or sliders which display the clock of the cpu you can raise them or lower them ill post screenshots
