How come Internet Explorer wont connect to the Internet after installing Norton?

Q: I have Windows Vista and am connected to the Internet with a wireless router/modem through Charter. I just downloaded and installed Norton 2010. My desktop says I’m connected to the Internet but my screen says that Internet explorer cannot display the web page. What can I do to fix this?

    Try these steps from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956196

    If you still have trouble consider uninstalling Norton and switching to something else like Microsoft Security Essentials.
