How come my sound is distored after moving my computer?
by rbacica on January 26, 2010Q: I have a Dell XPS 400 desktop computer. I have a creative sb x-fi sound card or speaker setup I believe. A while back my audio suddenly became distorted and messed up. I don’t remember how I fixed it but I did.
A couple of weeks ago I unplugged my computer, modem, printer, etc so I could move it across the room. When I plugged everything back in I found myself with the same distorted speaker problem. How can I fix this?
Double check and redo all your connections with the speakers and make sure the sound card is still well seated with the motherboard.

Only other thing I can think of is if another electronic device nearby is causing the interference. Try moving or unplugging any nearby stuff and see if that makes a difference.
