How come the Windows XP install asks for a file called asms and where do I find it?

by on February 15, 2010

Q: My dad and I decided to reset the Windows XP Home Edition on our Dimensions 8400 computer. However, when we get to the setup, there’s an error saying: The file ‘Asms’ on Windows XP Professional CD-ROM is needed. Type the path where the file is located, and then click OK. Can anyone help us?
