Stop FireFox from crashing

by on February 21, 2010

Q: I use FireFox for everything and have all my important bookmarks stored in it. My problem is it is very unstable and keeps crashing. I make sure I upgrade to the latest version right when it comes out but I still have problems. How come FireFox keeps crashing on me?

A: FireFox is a stable web browser that many people around the world rely on. The primary reason FireFox would be unstable is because there is an unstable extension installed. You can see all extensions installed in FireFox by going to Tools -> Add-Ons and then clicking the Extensions button/tab. You should disable all the extensions and make sure FireFox is stable and then from there slowly enable the extensions that you need. A good cleanup might be in order too so delete any extensions that you don’t need.
