Q: I started to install webroot for Windows XP on a Windows 7 laptop by accident. I am trying to uninstall it and it is running. How do I get it to stop running so I can uninstall it?

You can force any program to stop running by opening up the task manager (right click on the task bar, select task manager). Bring up the tab labeled Processes, and look for the program name that corresponds to the Webroot program (I’m guessing something like webroot.exe or spysweeper.exe) Right click on the process, and select End Process. This will stop the program, then try to uninstall like normal.
