How can I make my webpages secure so they cannot be hacked?
by GaryHoff on June 20, 2010Q: Some how a sub page or pages of my website have been hacked into in order to send thousands of spam emails. A couple years ago when we were with a different host, I had the code looked at by a website developer, who could not see anything insecure about it, yet this problem has recently re-arisen with my present host. I would like to make the page(s), 3 maximum, secure rather than have them re-designed. Any suggestions on where I should go for help?

I know you tried to post the contents of the pages but they really didn’t come over well. I think the most important part is to make it so the files are not writable by anyone then you don’t have to worry about them getting modified.
Obviously you need to make sure there are no security issues with any code on the pages but from what you posted it didn’t look like there was any code on the pages but that could have just been a problem with the system not allowing the code in.
