How come my Word document background does not print?
by blueeagle on June 26, 2010Q: I made a brochure in Microsoft Word 2003 and put a nice background in. When I went to print preview the background wasn’t there. What the heck am I doing wrong? I pressed okay after choosing the background color and there it was in my doc. I saved it. When it comes up it shows it’s there but when going to print it isn’t?

By default, Microsoft Word does not print document backgrounds that you create by using the Background command on the Format menu. If you want to print document backgrounds, you can change this setting. To do so, click Options on the Tools menu. On the Print tab, select the Background colors and images check box.
