How do I free up hard drive space?

Q: How can I recover free space on my hard drive? I am down to 1 percent free and my computer has slowed to a crawl. Last time I knew it was at about 75 percent free.

    1. Uninstall any programs you don’t use anymore.
    2. Install and run ccleaner: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
    3. Track Down where all your space went by using http://windirstat.info/
