Where can I find those video game consoles built into a controller that hold thousdans of games?

by on August 11, 2010

Q: 2 years ago a friend had a controller that looked like a N64 black controller but it had audio/ video cords that plugged into the TV just like a DVD player. The controller came with either 1,500 or 15,000 old school video games on it. I think they were all Nintendo games but not sure. I know it had all the Mario games, Duck hunt, Street fighters and I think even pac man. Anyway, I have googled everything and cannot find this anywhere! She bought it at a local mall but the store is closed now and I lost contact with her. I would love to find and buy this device. Please any information about what its called or where to find it would be great!!

This kind of an item is going to be very difficult to find on-line because the Nintendo games remain under copyright. So anyone trying to see this kind of an item runs the risk of getting sued by Nintendo.

There are some legit options around but you need to supply your own games either in ROM or Cartridge form.

I know what you are talking about but it is not actually Mario or Duck Hunt they are games that look very similar, and to be honest, are probably just on the edge of being legal/illegal.

I have never actually found these online but you usually find them in the mall around Christmas time. So keep your eyes open over the next few months and I am sure you will see the pop up.

I would suspect, but this is just an assumption, that the reason you cannot find them online (I could not either when I spent 10 minutes searching) is that they are right on the line of being legal/illegal.

      Picked as best answer

I should note that when I say it is on the verge of being legal/illegal I am talking specifically to the systems that have Mario clones (ie games that look very similar to Mario).

There are video game controller systems that have 101 games or 30 games in a single controller though that are legal and are sold everyday online.
