    Yes, it is for a college course in Educational Multimedia. Do you know any resources that would tell me the definition between the two? Thanks for your help!

    Hopefully your course material will cover a lot of this stuff. Your instructor might also be looking for a specific definition that comes from your text book for the course.

    As far as this specific question goes wikipedia is always a nice spot to get you started. http://en.wikipedia.org

    Also, animation is usually a series of images or graphics linked together to show movement, like a cartoon.
