Does Ask Eraser really delete all traces of a search?
by ramalong on September 20, 2010Q: If I turn on Ask Eraser and delete search history, cashe, and temporary internet files, after a search, will there be record of the search still lurking in the computer anywhere?

Ask Eraser doesn’t delete anything on your computer, it only deletes search records on their servers.

For cleaning your own PC, turn on private browsing mode (CTRL+SHIFT+P in IE and Firefox)

Once all that is done you can wipe your free disk space using ccleaner (one of the programs mentioned in the above article)
