mark. i have a lei card reader which can read the preprogrammed sd card i purchased pre loaded with navigation for my lowrance 5200c gps unit. what i am trying to do is load this card into a program called “EasyGps” which i downloaded from the internet, so i can program new routes with the computor[large monitor] rather than th 4.5 in. screen on my latitude d600.
any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

It looks like the 5200c can support reading GPS data created by their “Map Create” software (see page 5). They don’t have any information on the file formats that it can read.
If you’ve already been successfully creating new routes using your Latitude laptop, I’d suggest you use the exact same software on your desktop computer.

Assuming your laptop doesn’t have a built in SD card reader, you can buy one for a few dollars:

I took a look at the manual for the 5200c:
